After cleansing and an optional toner, apply the selected serum thinly. Follow with your trusty moisturizer. In the morning, sunscreen completes your care routine.

SKIN1004 recommends a small, pea-sized amount every other day on the desired areas for the first week. Anua starts with one to two drops one to two days per week. If the skin remains comfortable, the rhythm can be gradually expanded according to the respective product instructions.

To get to know: First test on a small area. Introduce new retinoids and acid peels on other days. If burning, significant redness or flaking persists, pause; If you have severe or persistent symptoms, seek medical advice. A cosmetic serum does not replace treatment for acne or rosacea.

More about the active ingredient: what the ten percent means

Azelaic acid is its own cosmetic active ingredient. Both manufacturers mention ten percent azelaic acid. SKIN1004 adds two related compounds. Such derivatives have their own names on the ingredient list; they are considered separately when specifying the concentration.

For your everyday life this means: The larger number on a pack does not in itself mean better care. With these two products, the pack size, desired skin feel and a suitable starting rhythm will help you choose.

At least two years of statutory guarantee of conformity for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can assert their rights under the statutory guarantee, for example if the goods

  • do not correspond to the description,
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity that existed at the time of delivery of the goods and becomes apparent within the statutory guarantee period. In such cases sellers must offer:

  • free repair or free replacement,
  • in certain cases a price reduction or a full refund of the purchase price.

Some countries apply a longer statutory guarantee period. For second-hand goods a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

What to do if you receive goods that do not conform?

  1. Report the problem to the seller as soon as possible.
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as the receipt, invoice or a bank statement.
