Medicube: Which products are right for you – and for what?
A pink serum, a can of pads and a device with a glowing head: Medicube has very different things under one name. Anyone who is actually just looking for more pleasant evening care will quickly end up wondering whether a beauty device belongs in the bathroom.
To get started, sorting by task helps: pads for a peeling step, a serum as additional care, a mask for the evening. When it comes to the device, you also need time to use it and enjoy the technology. This allows for more targeted selection.
Where does Medicube come from and who is behind it?
Medicube is a South Korean brand owned by APR. APR itself lists Medicube in its brand portfolio; the company headquarters is in Seoul. The offer includes cosmetic care and the beauty devices of the AGE-R series. This connection explains why you encounter technology alongside serums and masks. The origin can therefore be traced directly to the company APR .
The brand name sounds medical. When choosing facial care, this sound replaces neither the list of ingredients nor the question of how you want to use the product. A cosmetic product’s name does not mean that it is a treatment for a skin disease.
Is Medicube good?
Rating an entire brand as “good” or “bad” helps surprisingly little with individual purchases. Maybe you like a gel-like step but don’t want to use scented products. Then a texture can be interesting, but its recipe still doesn’t suit your preferences.
Three specific questions are more helpful: Which task is missing from your routine? How does your skin feel with your previous care? And would you also use the new step on a normal Tuesday? This makes a large selection of brands a manageable decision.
Three Medicube products that have different tasks
Zero Pore Pad 2.0: a peeling step after cleansing
The Medicube Zero Pore Pad 2.0 are soaked pads with two different surfaces. The ingredients list includes lactic acid and salicylic acid, i.e. AHA and BHA. It also contains Alcohol Denat. and several fragrant vegetable oils. This is more meaningful for the selection than the word “Zero” on the can.
The manufacturer recommends use after cleansing: first gently stroke the structured side, then the smooth side over the skin. A lot of pressure doesn’t make for more thorough care. If a peel or a retinol product is already part of your routine, you should consider the additional burden. The American Academy of Dermatology explains how to gently exfoliate and strongly advises against exfoliating broken or sunburned skin.
Visible pores don’t have to disappear for skin to look well-groomed. You can find out more about this in our article about large pores and blackheads .
PDRN Pink Peptide Serum: an additional care step
With the Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum it is worth looking behind the long name. The shop version contains, among other things, niacinamide, glycerin, several peptides, sodium DNA and fragrance. It is applied after cleaning; This is followed by further care.
If you like light serums and want to get to know PDRN care, this step is a good idea before your usual cream. We will look separately at what niacinamide can do in skincare and what is important when choosing it. No personal result can be predicted from a single ingredient.
Collagen Night Wrapping Mask: a mask that dries as a film
The Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Mask comes out of the tube. It dries into a film on the face and is therefore significantly different from a sheet mask. The list of ingredients includes, among other things, Polyvinyl Alcohol, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate and Ceramide NP.
Medicube describes it as the last step in the evening. Eyes, lips, brows and hairline remain free; The layer should dry before going to bed. In the morning it can be carefully removed or washed off with lukewarm water. You can find the exact instructions on the manufacturer’s page for the wrapping mask .
Also allow time for this mask to dry. Whether you feel comfortable with such a film on your face is just as much a part of the purchase decision as the ingredients.
What does the AGE-R Booster Pro do?
The classic Booster Pro is an electric beauty device. Medicube describes four modes – Booster, MC, Derma Shot and Air Shot – as well as LED and vibration. The modes have different application rules. In particular, Air Shot is used on dry skin; Instructions for other modes cannot therefore simply be transferred. The official product page explains these differences.
The technical terms can be broken down: Electroporation here refers to electrical impulses that, according to the manufacturer, are intended to support the absorption of care ingredients. Microcurrent , MC for short, works with very weak electrical currents. EMS stands for electrical muscle stimulation. Medicube lists these procedures on its technology page ; APR explains the technologies . Their names describe the way they work, but do not yet say how visible the result will be for you.
Before making a purchase, the complete application and safety instructions for the specific model are more important than a short application video. Also check whether you actually have the Booster Pro in front of you: Mini devices and the Booster Pro X2 are separate models. Similar looking packaging makes their instructions non-interchangeable.
Whether the device is worth it for you also depends on your time, budget and how much you enjoy using it. The test results stated on the manufacturer’s website are not a guarantee for your face. A device is not required to get started with Medicube; the three care products can be used independently.
Where can you buy Medicube – also from dm or Temu?
At Bloom & Shine you will find the products linked above and the rest of the Medicube selection . One product is enough to get you started: the serum before your cream or the wrapping mask for a care evening. Choose the format you would like to use and introduce it one by one.
Medicube is also available online at dm. For example, when we checked on September 8, 2026, the Collagen Jelly Cream was listed on dm.de. The site marked this product as available online and not available in dm stores. This does not result in a general statement about each branch or the entire range; check the respective article directly.
When it comes to an offer on Temu, the authenticity cannot be determined by the platform name alone. For an individual offer, verifiable information about the seller and the origin of the goods would be required. Even a photo with the Medicube logo is not sufficient evidence of this.
Medicube itself warns against counterfeits and imitated websites . If in doubt, a comprehensible invoice, the exact product name and a query to the manufacturer are more helpful than a comparison of individual font spacing. Our article about original K-Beauty when buying online continues this examination.
Is Medicube vegan?
This cannot be answered across the board for the entire brand. In the pink peptide serum variant linked here, the shop mentions Milt Extract and Salmon Egg Extract, i.e. components from fish. This variant is therefore not an option for a vegan selection.
On its US site, Medicube explicitly distinguishes between Salmon DNA PDRN and a Rose PDRN variant described as vegan. The Rose version label may not be transferred to a similarly named serum. The specific product with its current recipe remains decisive.
If you would like to get to know several brands side by side, our overview of Korean skincare brands will help you. For an initial selection, a specific task and a product whose application fits into your everyday life are sufficient.
What we know for sure
- Medicube belongs to APR; Care products and AGE-R devices are different product areas.
- Zero Pore Pad 2.0 is a peeling product, not an ordinary make-up removal pad.
- Booster Pro, Mini and X2 must be judged based on their respective instructions.
- The linked pink peptide serum variant contains fish components. A vegan statement must refer to the specific variant.
Select Medicube to suit your routine
When it comes to your device care, technology and the intended process will help you choose. With a set you count the care steps that have their own place in your everyday life.
