A toner can add moisture after cleansing. A serum is aimed at a specific skin target. Eye care remains optional. A cream completes the care. Sun protection is the last thing you should put on your skin in the morning.
Good skin care doesn't come from having as many winners next to each other as possible. It arises when every product has a clear task.

Read the awards correctly
What does MD’s Pick mean?
MD’s Pick is an additional selection from the merchandising managers at Olive Young. It is next to places 1 to 3. In English overviews, “Olive Young’s Pick” is sometimes used for this.
An example: The Medicube Zero Pore Pad 2.0 received an MD’s Pick in the pad category in 2025. This will not become a first, second or third place.
Multiple awards – does that mean first place every time?
“Five years of awards” can summarize different placements and additional awards. The year, category and exact rank remain decisive.
This can be clearly seen with the Torriden DIVE-IN Serum: 3rd place in 2022 and 2023, 2nd place in 2024 and 1st place in 2025 in the Essence/Serum category.
How do we classify eye care and slow aging?
In the tested Olive Young archives 2021-2025 we do not find our own ranked eye care category. That's why we're not listing any supposed eye care winners here. The Mary&May eye cream shown above was awarded at Hwahae.
Slow Aging appears as a trend award at Olive Young. This selection does not receive fictitious places 1 to 3 in our overview.
Does an award also apply to other sizes or new recipes?
The placement belongs to the named product in the respective award year. A similarly named product, a different variant or a later recipe does not automatically receive the award.
This distinction is particularly important for the Abib pads: from 2021 to 2023, the Heartleaf Spot Pad Calming Touch is in the top 3. For 2025, the list names the Heartleaf Essence Pad Clear Touch.
Internationally awarded K-Beauty
Korean skin care also receives awards at international cosmetics trade fairs. The Cosmoprof Awards honor product innovations that are evaluated by an expert jury. Here we show five proven winners from Bologna and from the Cosmoprof Asia Awards in Hong Kong.
The selection was created from our look at the Bologna editions 2022-2026, supplemented by Asia winners from 2024 and 2025. It also includes products outside of our range. Each entry contains the exact edition, year, category and original source.
A jury award evaluates aspects other than sales figures or user ratings. Whether a product suits your skin cannot be determined from this alone.

The sun protection spray from ELROEL was awarded in Bologna in the “Sun Care Products” category. The award belongs to Ice Water Sun; This does not automatically mean that other sun protection products from the brand are distinguished.

Dr.Melaxin received the award for the Melting Cleanser. The jury appreciated the combination of make-up removal and facial cleansing in one foam cleanser. The award refers to this product, not to the entire Dr.Melaxin range.

Korean brand Standard Seoul's Firming Bouncy Boost Serum won the skin care category of the Cosmoprof Asia Awards. This award was given in Hong Kong; it belongs to its own edition in the Cosmoprof network.

The Yellow Cream Patch from KOCOSTAR was honored. The cream, applied selectively, forms a thin film on the skin. The jury highlighted the interaction between cream and patch.
2023 · Bologna · TRU HYAL 100 Advanced Night Repair Capsule
Cosmoprof Awards 2023 · Skin Care Products · Winner
TRU HYAL 100's Advanced Night Repair Capsule won the skin care category in Bologna. In their justification, the jury highlighted the water-free single dose with freeze-dried ingredients and the compact form for on the go.
Winner, finalist or Cosmopack – what’s the difference?
A final place is its own recognition, but not yet a victory. The KOCOSTAR Sunscreen Capsule Mask 2022 in Bologna was one of the finalists in the “Skin & Personal Care Product” category. The winner was Réduit Boost from Wellfully. The Yellow Cream Patch is a different product and won at Cosmoprof Asia in 2024.
Cosmoprof awards finished branded products. Cosmopack honors, among other things, recipes, packaging and technologies from the supply industry. A Cosmopack Award cannot therefore easily be assigned to a skin care product in stores.
The best place is not the same for every skin
Awards can provide orientation. But they don't say whether a texture, an active ingredient or an entire routine suits your skin.
First, observe your skin condition. Stabilize your basic routine. Add at most one targeted active ingredient. Popularity is interesting – compatibility remains personal.
