On the front of the jar it says Vitamin E, on the back you read Tocopheryl Acetate. This goes together: Tocopherol is a form of vitamin E, a fat-soluble antioxidant. It can slow down oxidation processes that change fats, for example. Tocopheryl Acetate is a modified substance that must first be converted into vitamin E in the skin. This means you can see from the ingredient list which form of vitamin E was used.

The Klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask contains tocopheryl acetate along with glycerin and niacinamide. Glycerin in particular contributes to moisturizing as a water binder. If you would like to differentiate between the tasks in a cream, you can find our short knowledge about glycerin . The well-groomed skin feeling arises from the interaction of the recipe.

The Klairs mask can also be used as a moisturizer; start with a small amount. The formula we list also contains essential oils, including lavender and eucalyptus oil. If you want to avoid these fragrance oils, this mask is not the right choice.

Statutory guarantee

Official EU notice on the statutory guarantee. The full text follows below the graphic. Link to Your Europe, opens in a new tab.

Text of the EU notice

At least two years of statutory guarantee of conformity for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can assert their rights under the statutory guarantee, for example if the goods

  • do not correspond to the description,
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity that existed at the time of delivery of the goods and becomes apparent within the statutory guarantee period. In such cases sellers must offer:

  • free repair or free replacement,
  • in certain cases a price reduction or a full refund of the purchase price.

Some countries apply a longer statutory guarantee period. For second-hand goods a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

What to do if you receive goods that do not conform?

  1. Report the problem to the seller as soon as possible.
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as the receipt, invoice or a bank statement.

Sellers and manufacturers may also offer commercial guarantees that apply independently of the statutory guarantee. This GARAN label, for example, shows that the manufacturer grants a commercial durability guarantee at no extra cost that covers the whole product.
