Madecassoside: What can the Centella ingredient do in your care?

Madecassoside occurs naturally in Centella asiatica and is used in cosmetics as a skin-care ingredient. Whether it makes your skin more supple depends on the finished care product: In a small study with 20 women, a combination of vitamin C and madecassoside improved, among other things, skin moisture and elasticity after six months. What part Madecassoside alone played in this cannot be determined from this combination.

In the Centellian24 Madeca Cream Time Reverse , madecassoside is on the list of ingredients together with glycerin, panthenol and other Centella ingredients. Here you will get to know Madecassoside as part of a cream, the other ingredients of which also contribute to care. If you’re confused by the related names on the package, our overview of Centella and Cica will help you sort it out.

According to the instructions for use, the cream is distributed on the face and neck at the end of the care routine. The formula described here also contains retinol and essential oils. If you are looking for a cream without retinol or fragrance oils, this option does not suit your needs.

Statutory guarantee

Official EU notice on the statutory guarantee. The full text follows below the graphic. Link to Your Europe, opens in a new tab.

Text of the EU notice

At least two years of statutory guarantee of conformity for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can assert their rights under the statutory guarantee, for example if the goods

  • do not correspond to the description,
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity that existed at the time of delivery of the goods and becomes apparent within the statutory guarantee period. In such cases sellers must offer:

  • free repair or free replacement,
  • in certain cases a price reduction or a full refund of the purchase price.

Some countries apply a longer statutory guarantee period. For second-hand goods a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

For more information about your rights in a particular country, scan the QR code below or ask the seller.

What to do if you receive goods that do not conform?

  1. Report the problem to the seller as soon as possible.
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as the receipt, invoice or a bank statement.

Sellers and manufacturers may also offer commercial guarantees that apply independently of the statutory guarantee. This GARAN label, for example, shows that the manufacturer grants a commercial durability guarantee at no extra cost that covers the whole product.
