Copper Peptides: What does Copper Tripeptide-1 mean in your cream?
Copper Tripeptide-1 is a rather long name for a small compound: three amino acids form a peptide to which copper is bound. You will also find the name GHK-Cu for this. In cosmetics, the substance is classified as skin-care. Studies on cell cultures provide information about its properties, but do not yet prove the anti-wrinkle effect of a finished cream. When making the selection, we therefore look at the product as a whole.
An example is the SKIN1004 Hyalu-Teca Firming Cream . Their ingredients list mentions Copper Tripeptide-1, along with other peptides, squalane, panthenol and ceramide NP. Here the copper peptide is already in a complete cream. So you don’t have to add an additional peptide serum to include this ingredient in your skincare routine. Whether you like the texture and how it makes your skin feel is also part of the selection.
Distribute the cream according to your lighter care steps and pat it in gently if necessary. Sun protection follows in the morning. If the names on the packaging still confuse you, our comparison of PDRN, collagen and peptides explains how these substance groups differ.
