Bamboo in skin care: Also found in sun protection

Bamboo can be found in skin care as plant water or extract. The names reveal something about the form used: Marmora Vulgaris Water stands for bamboo water, Phyllostachys Nigra Leaf Extract for an extract from the leaves of black bamboo. Both are found in moisturizing formulas. You don’t have to memorize the botanical names; Above all, they help to better differentiate between two similar-sounding products.

In the Haruharu Wonder Black Bamboo Top-to-Toe SPF Veil you will find both bamboo ingredients, supplemented by panthenol and squalane. The light sun care is intended for the face and body. The included filters provide UV protection; The bamboo is part of the nourishing part of the recipe. If you like to use a few products in the morning, a sun care product with a pleasant texture can make the last step particularly uncomplicated.

Statutory guarantee

Official EU notice on the statutory guarantee. The full text follows below the graphic. Link to Your Europe, opens in a new tab.

Text of the EU notice

At least two years of statutory guarantee of conformity for goods sold in the European Union.

Consumers can assert their rights under the statutory guarantee, for example if the goods

  • do not correspond to the description,
  • do not function as intended.

Sellers are liable for any lack of conformity that existed at the time of delivery of the goods and becomes apparent within the statutory guarantee period. In such cases sellers must offer:

  • free repair or free replacement,
  • in certain cases a price reduction or a full refund of the purchase price.

Some countries apply a longer statutory guarantee period. For second-hand goods a shorter period may apply, but not less than one year.

What to do if you receive goods that do not conform?

  1. Report the problem to the seller as soon as possible.
  2. Provide proof of purchase, such as the receipt, invoice or a bank statement.

Sellers and manufacturers may also offer commercial guarantees that apply independently of the statutory guarantee. This GARAN label, for example, shows that the manufacturer grants a commercial durability guarantee at no extra cost that covers the whole product.
